Community Trash Clean Up

Triton College’s Sustainability Center is hosting a Community Trash Cleanup on Tuesday, April 22, at 1 p.m. The group will meet at Triton’s Botanical Gardens before heading to Fullerton Woods (just north of the Botanical Gardens fence) to pick up trash. The event is open to the campus community and neighbors.

“Triton’s Sustainability Center is hosting this event to provide an opportunity for participants to get outdoors and do meaningful work to maintain a natural space right next to the college,” said Benjamin Kadlec, Triton’s sustainability coordinator.

Kadlec added that cleanup events are essential for preserving the local environment. By volunteering to clean up pollutants like trash, participants are offering a vital service to the wildlife that calls Fullerton Woods their home.

Snacks and cleanup supplies will be provided. All participants must wear long pants. Click here to register.
